Objective: The objective of this workshop is to help the parts department; improve inventory management, increase parts sales, and refine processes which will lead to increased profits. These three areas will form the foundation of the one day workshop. The will focus will be on the execution of process and skills. This will be combined with coaching the parts manager on maintaining the new processes.

 

 

Specific Objective: We will take an analytical approach evaluating the current inventory performance. This will be done by examining the current situation by using the reports available such as the PR207. This will be combined with report from their DMS system. The specific topics include:

§         What reports will help identify intelligent inventory performance;

§        How a parts manager can influence RO fill rate;

§         Reports from Mazda including the PR207

§        Review stocking levels and reordering process;

§         Excess inventory vs. the right excess inventory;

§        Understanding Depth vs. Width;

§         How to reduce frozen capital.

§         Review the back order process;

§         Source groups and how it will help;

§         Increasing my wholesale business;

§         Controlling Obsolescence;

§         How to Coach my team in order to increase productivity

  • Mystery shopper evaluation performed in the workshop.

 

The mystery shopper call will be performed from the training room done in small groups. The purpose will be to identify parts advisors skills based on a template. This will then be used for the manager to create an action plan improving sales and customer satisfaction.
